He is someone who has come straight out of the British writing establishment with all the right books published by all the right people. His life is fascinating: his family moved around Europe and America, which led him to drop out of Harvard twice and eventually into banking, where he worked in the City of London, helping create modern international capital flows and becoming the godfather of the modern, globalized economy. The great writing was just a side gig. We're going to talk about his life and so much more in this fascinating chat where I say very little. Listen along with me.
