It’s time for the grand final and it’s exactly the final we all wanted. Hurricanes vs Chiefs - the two best teams in the competition facing each other in the ultimate showdown for the first time ever in the history of Super Rugby. It’s shaping up to be one of the greatest finals of all time.

Will the Hurricanes home advantage give them their first championship in 10 years, or will the Chiefs break their finals hoodoo and take the trophy they’ve been so desperately close to claiming for the last few years? It’s gonna be a doozy!

This week on the pod - after all that, it’s the top four as it finished in the regular season. Go figure. The Hurricanes & Chiefs secured their spots with big wins over the Aussie sides…and the Crusaders convincingly put away the Blues in what was really just a dead rubber. The Blues took the lucky loser card and get a chance to square up once again this weekend.

We also saw some BIG HITS and some big injuries that have left some key players in doubt for the semi-finals, and it seems well and truly like HIA protocols are optional these days!

Will the Chiefs finally lift their Crusaders hoodoo? Will anybody turn up to the Cake Tin? And who deserves this final two spots in 2026?
