Most ghost stories come with a theory. People say it’s the spirit of someone who died in the house… or the echo of a tragedy that refuses to fade. Sometimes there’s a name attached to the haunting, a face from the past, or a piece of history that helps explain why something might still be lingering long after the living have moved on.

But not every haunting comes with an explanation. Sometimes the activity starts in a completely ordinary place. A quiet home. A small apartment. A building that has no dark history, no violent past, nothing that should leave behind a ghost. And yet something begins moving… knocking… watching. Something that doesn’t seem tied to the location at all.
