  • Toy Story 5
    Jun 18 2026

    The toys are back!

In Episode 60 of The Chronicle, Paul and Nick take a closer look at Disney and Pixar's highly anticipated Toy Story 5.

As one of animation's most beloved franchises returns, the question is simple: has Pixar delivered another magical adventure, or is the series beginning to show its age?

Set years after the end of the "Andy years", Toy Story 5 sees Bonnie's toys facing a challenge unlike any they've encountered before — technology. Jessie takes centre stage as she battles for Bonnie's attention against a tablet named Lilypad, whose influence threatens to change the toys' world forever.

Featuring a star-studded voice cast including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Tony Hale, Greta Lee, Keanu Reeves, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Conan O'Brien and Alan Cumming, Toy Story 5 aims to bring both nostalgia and fresh ideas to the franchise.

Join Paul and Nick as they discuss the film's story, characters, animation, emotional impact and whether this latest adventure deserves a place alongside Pixar's finest work.
