Each day of the week before Jesus' crucifixion is firmly fixed in scripture. Join Dan and Scott as they journey through scripture to talk about what happened each day of the week before Jesus' crucifixion and why it matters for us to know about it.

Scripture is best read in context, so is the Holy Week. Below you'll find a couple of references that can help you on your journey. God bless and may Christ be forever praised! Happy Easter!

  • Extra Biblical Writings - The Apocrypha and other things
    Mar 19 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, Dan and Scott tackle the hard questions concerning the Apocrypha and other extra biblical writings. Why did these books not make it into the more common, Protestant bibles of today? Did the Jewish people recognize these extra books and consider them a part of their sacred writings? And what about words like deuterocanonical and pseudepigrapha, what do they mean?

These books are sometimes good for historical value, but some of them are outright heretical. What's going on?

Join us as we discuss it!

  • Why Pray?
    Mar 10 2026

    Send a text

How long should I pray? Is prayer effective? Does it even matter?

We don't pray because God needs to know about our life, but He does want to hear us talk to Him. And we don't pray because God is a genie who will give me what I want or even, what I think I need.

Prayer is more than that. Join Scott and Dan as they have a conversation about prayer. We pray that this conversation can help you as you walk on your journey with God.

  • Question - Can I be forgiven completely for my past?
    Mar 3 2026

    Send a text

In this week's podcast, Dan and Scott tackle the topic of forgiveness in response to a question we received.

The question was about a person's past and if they could be forgiven of things they had done, specifically an involvement in paganism.

God's forgiveness through Christ is complete. When we repent of our sin and accept Jesus as our Savior, God takes away our sin, as far as the east is from the west. And if you think about, east and west never meet.

But who pays for those sins? See, forgiveness can be offered free of charge, but someone has to pay. Jesus paid for our sin on the cross, He suffered the wrath intended for us and "by his wounds we are healed." (Isaiah 53).

Join Scott and Dan as they explore the topic of forgiveness and live in the freedom that Christ brings. Praise God for His grace!

  • Christianity, cults and other religions
    Feb 24 2026

    Send a text

We live in a world of ideologies. Christianity stands above other systems of religion and cults in that it's foundation is grounded on the unchanging truth of God's Word.

Many of these ideologies use part of God's Word, but not all. And God's Word cannot be partially used, but must be taken in it's entirety.

Join Scott and Dan as they have a conversation about the dangers of not knowing God's Word. And how this ignorance of God's Word makes us incredibly vulnerable to systems that seek to enslave and destroy us.

Finally, we want to say a big thank you to Nina Daugherty for designing the new CreekCast logo! It looks awesome!

  • How to Deal with Church Hurt
    Feb 17 2026

    Send a text

    God does not hurt you.

This phrase alone should be enough, but in all honesty, there are many people who believe that God has hurt them when it was really a person who hurt them. Churches throughout history have become famous for hurting people.

And there are some severe cases of church hurt, but for the most part, a few words here or there can make someone put a church in their rear view mirror and they never look back.

Both Dan and Scott have heard many times, "The church hurt me, why would God do such a thing?" When it wasn't God at all.

Join us today for a discussion on being hurt by the church. We'll offer some reasons why church hurt happens and then, we'll offer some solutions on how you might work through it and hopefully, you can find a body of believers in Christ who will walk with you through life.

  • Questioning the Rapture
    Feb 10 2026

    Send a text

In this episode, Dan and Scott tackle a topic that is asked more than any other, the Rapture.

Basically, the idea of a Rapture is that Jesus will return to earth to gather His followers and take them out of this world. The claim is that Jesus does this to spare His followers the tribulation which many believe is yet to come.

Dan and Scott, along with many other theologians, do not agree with Rapture theology though. Rapture does appear in scripture, but not in the context that many believe. They will overview Matthew 13, Jesus' own teaching that contradicts this common teaching. They will also explain how rapture is used in scripture and cite multiple articles and websites to help.

Finally, to speak on the subject of tribulation in today's world, they bring up organizations like Voice of the Martyrs who clearly depict God's people being attacked today.
