Rivo & Rich are back with Season 11!!

Each year, Rivo & Rich release a special podcast to promote and highlight Mental Health Awareness Week and this year it takes place from 11th to 17th May, with the theme of “ACTION”.

This year, Rivo & Rich are joined by BBFA Chief Executive Officer, Liz Verrall, to discuss this years theme and the importance of physical activity. They unpack the three pillars of this year’s theme — For Yourself, For Someone Else, and For All of Us — bringing it to life with personal examples and practical ideas for creating healthier, more supportive environments in sport and the workplace.

Berks & Bucks FA engages with over 80,000 participants every season, and with at least 1 in 4 people in the UK experiencing mental health issues each year, we're keen to acknowledge and support everyone’s relationship with their mental health.

To support this, we've officially teamed up with two national mental health charities to help raise awareness, ensure mental health is part of the conversation in football and provide opportunities and access to resources for our members.

Rivo & Rich are back for the final time this season with the 2nd part with Andy Ritchie.

Andy talks about the evolution of the game including inverted full backs and the importance of goalkeepers. Andy shares his views on the different coaching methods as well as using the right terminology at the right time to improve game understanding.

Andy shares his positive experiences while at Chelsea on John Terry and the importance of core values and creating a positive environment & culture at your club can help players thrive and develop. Plus the trio discuss why remembering and using names is important.

This week Rivo & Rich are joined by Coach Developer, Tutor and Coach, Andy Ritchie.

On the pod, Andy talks about his first experiences of football and his love for Coventry City. Andy shares his experiences coaching abroad in USA, China & Germany and the impact it had on him professionally & personally.

Andy talks in depth of his time in academy football including Charlton Athletic & Southampton which included working with Adam Lallana, Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale with Andy providing some brilliant examples from his time at the Saints.

Andy also talks about the importance of different coaching methods including guided discovery and demonstrations and the key of players utilising space.
