    Some years ago, Anna Vigurs had an extraordinary experience in the Forest of Dean which subsequently marked a downturn in her health. As a child, during a long, but thankfully temporary period of disability, she had grown familiar with out-of-body experiences. Her ability to slip into altered states has remained throughout her life. Anna describes her trip into another realm on Summer Solstice where she met a group of beings and experienced a shift in time. We hear about her ghost encounter and a little man who was seen in her shared Uni house.     A small being walked across Rebekah’s home after a sense of presence had been felt for some time. She never imagined it was possible to have an experience like this…until it happened. The therianthrope being appeared weary from travelling, with staff in hand - ‘his’ face reminiscent of an indigenous person. He passed across a doorway in Rebekah's home, seemingly across the building, incongruent to the layout of the house. "The creature was maybe about knee high. It was bipedal and walked with a human gait, but it was a little hunched. I think he might have been wearing brown breeches or something, but nothing else, because his top half was hairy or fur covered, like an animal...my impression was a mixture of animal and human in feature." We discuss the possibility that her home, which is situated next to a mine (a potentially significant factor), lies on a fairy path (a line between two sacred points in the landscape which fairy beings travel along). We also hear how a previous occupant may have been present in the house and possibly took the form of an ‘angel’ who used to visit Rebekah’s daughter as a child. I was fascinated to hear about the ancient ‘Stonehenge-like’ monument beneath the surface of Lake Michigan - one of the sacred sites mentioned. If you have an interest in fairies/folklore and the paranormal then stumbling across this podcast is like finding treasure. Jo is a wonderful host, with a soothing voice, and arguably one of the biggest names in the field of fairy/folklore research in the UK today. Her episodes are well thought-out, her interviews are fascinating and the love and respect that she has for the subject, and the people/stories discussed, shines through in every episode. I would highly recommend this podcast.

Love this podcast for being so accessible and well presented. It has that beautiful balance of being completely relatable yet mysterious. Jo and her guests take the woo woo out of a subject that is so very real to many of us and placed it front and centre of the way we live today.
