  • Ephraim’s Adoption: The Shadow That Explains the Nations | Episode 16
    Jun 11 2026

In this episode, we will explore Genesis 48 and Jacob's adoption of Ephraim and Manasseh. This moment establishes a prophetic shadow and helps us to better understand Paul's “mystery” that he doesn’t want us to be “ignorant” of when he penned Romans 11.

We will examine what it meant for Jacob to place his name—and the names of Abraham and Isaac—upon Ephraim and Manasseh. Through a Hebraic lens, we will see how names not only represent authority, character, and representation, but also represent inheritance rights and covenant identity (this is why we covered the “birthright” in Episode 15!). All of this reveals why this adoption was way more than just a simple moment in time.

We will also study Jacob's prophecy that Ephraim would become a melo ha goyim (“fullness of nations”), tracing this promise from Abraham to Jacob, to Ephraim, and ultimately to Paul's discussion of the pleroma ton ethnon (“fullness of the nations”) in Romans 11. This study will show that Paul's language intentionally echoes Genesis 48 and how Ephraim's adoption serves as a shadow and prophetic pattern of the nations being grafted into Israel's covenant inheritance through Messiah.

Additionally and alongside Romans 11, we will unpack the connection between Deuteronomy 29–30, heart circumcision, the New Covenant promises, Israel's temporary blindness, and the restoration foretold by Moses and the prophets. Romans 11 reveals a story of fulfillment...one in which the promises given to Israel are expanded through Messiah to include a people called out from among the nations.

I pray this episode blesses you as we seek to connect the birthright inheritance, adoption, covenant identity, the mystery of the fullness of the nations, and how Genesis 48 provides the shadow that helps explain the reality Paul explains in Romans 11.

  • Birthright, Blessing, and Covenant Order: Shadows of Messiah’s Administration | Episode 15
    Jun 4 2026

The biggest topic of discussion in Episode 15 is the difference between the “birthrightand the “blessing,” and how they are both shadows of Messiah’s administration and fulfillment.

Much of modern theology today treats “birthright” and “blessing” as if they are interchangeable terms and ideas, and while they are related, they are also presented in Scripture with distinct roles with different purposes and functions. By tracing these themes from the patriarchs through the prophets, we examine how the birthright relates to inheritance and the expansion of the covenant family, while the blessing relates to rulership, covenant authority, and kingship. Joseph receives the birthright, while Judah receives the scepter. The birthright belongs to inheritance, and the blessing belongs to rulership. Throughout Israel’s history, these roles remain distinct until they are ultimately fulfilled and united in Messiah.

This episode will shed a whole new light on “I did not come to abolish the torah, but to fulfill it...”

    Joseph Receives the Birthright:

Joseph's life foreshadows Yahusha: rejected by his brothers, sold for silver, suffered unjustly, and later exalted to preserve life. His birthright inheritance points forward to Messiah, the true firstborn heir. The author of Hebrews declares that Yahusha is "heir of all things" and the "firstborn among many brethren." Understanding His inheritance is essential to understanding our inheritance in Him.

The birthright given through Joseph (and Ephraim) reveals something much larger than we think. Ephraim's blessing of fruitfulness and branches extending “beyond their borders” points forward to the expansion of the covenant family itself. We will cover that in the next episode, Yah willing. The promise that Ephraim's seed would become a multitude of nations finds its fulfillment in Messiah, who restores scattered Israel and gathers both natural and wild branches into one covenant family.

Messiah does not erase Israel's promises or redefine them or “spiritualize them” to the
“church.” He fulfills them. And through Him, the inheritance promised in Scripture expands exactly as the prophets foretold.

Blessing to Abraham, carried through Judah, confirmed in David, fulfilled in Messiah—the promised “Seed”:

This episode will also discuss the blessing given through Abraham, carried through Judah, confirmed in David, and fulfilled in Yahusha. Scripture reveals a covenant promise that we have covered in detail so far: a coming “Seed” who would inherit the throne forever, bless all families, and rule the nations. This is the blessing fulfilled in Messiah's kingship.

From Genesis 49's prophecy of Shiloh to the Davidic Covenant, from Zion and Shiloh to the restoration of the fallen Tabernacle of David, my hope is that we can more clearly trace the prophetic thread that points to the One who would bring together what had been divided. There is so much more I want to say about the significance of this episode.

The birthright belongs to Joseph/Ephraim. The kingship belongs to Judah. The priesthood belongs to Levi.

No single tribe could lawfully hold all three positions. That is why Messiah ministers according to the order of Melchizedek.

As King, Priest, and Heir, Yahusha alone fulfills the birthright, the blessing, and the priesthood without abolishing or redefining ANY of them. Through Him, inheritance, covenant, and priestly service are united under a higher administration. This is how believers inherit through Messiah without replacing Israel.

In this study, we examine how these shadows/patterns reveal the gospel, magnify the promises made to Abraham, and help us understand what it means to be part of the assembly of the true Firstborn (Hebrews 12:22-23). Yah bless you and your studies.

  • The "True" Vine and Fulfillment of Israel's Calling | Episode 14
    May 28 2026

In this episode, we dive deep into the weight and significance of John 15:1: “I am the true vine."

What did He really mean by that? And why did He say "true" vine instead of just "vine?"

This episode serves to be just one example of how Yahusha’s words are not isolated sayings, but direct fulfillments of the Tanakh (Old Testament). From Isaiah’s vineyard prophecy to Jeremiah’s broken branches to Ezekiel's lamentation of the branches being consumed by fire, we trace the full biblical narrative of Israel as Yahuah’s vine—called to bear fruit, yet ultimately broken through disobedience.

But the story doesn’t end in judgment. It ends with restoration.

Yahusha steps in as the True Vine—the faithful embodiment of everything Israel was always meant to be. Through Him, right covenant standing is restored, the vineyard is renewed, and both natural and wild branches are brought into one covenant household.

    This episode also unpacks:

--The deeper meaning behind “the way, the truth, and the life” in light of Torah

--The prophetic significance of the “choice vine” and Messiah’s fulfillment of it

--The parable of the vineyard (Matthew 21) and what it reveals about the Kingdom

--What it truly means to “bear fruit” and abide in Messiah

If you’ve ever wrestled with what it really means to be part of the Father’s vineyard, I hope that this episode will challenge and deepen your perspective.
