WrestleMania 42 was supposed to be a celebration of everything WWE does right… but instead, it felt like the moment the company completely lost its identity.

In this full WrestleMania 42 recap, Mike Steph breaks down how WWE may have sabotaged one of its biggest stars in years — Cody Rhodes.

Once the most organic babyface the company had built in a long time, Cody’s momentum has been chipped away piece by piece.

From stepping aside for The Rock, to the confusing pivot, to facing John Cena in his final WrestleMania… and then having Cena turn heel in a way that made Cody look like a complete afterthought — what was the plan here?

Things only got more chaotic with Randy Orton’s heel turn, the strange inclusion of Pat McAfee in the storyline, and a main event crowd that turned on Cody at the worst possible time.

When your supposed hero is getting booed while getting revenge, something has clearly gone wrong.
