I really like this story, reminds me of the horror poem Antigonish ( the man that wasn't there). I remember as a teenager my family had gone away for the evening and I was in my bed room and the hall light was on and I was listening away to music and saw a shadow figure move up the hall and then back down the hall , past no remarks as thought it my family came back, few minutes later shadow figure came back up the hall and then back down again, so I got up check the hall and nobody there, looked out the window and the car wasn't on the street. past no remarks and listening away to my music for another while and the figure came back , looked out the window no car on the street. So I stopped listening to music and waiting and the shadow figure came back and stopped mid way up the hall and slowly walked back down again, I was curious and looked out on to the hall and we had a cupboard door and it slowly opened up and at the point I closed my door hid under the duvet, said a prayer to st micheal the arc angel several times , and within 20 minutes of that happening my parents came back from town and never glad to see them.
