Introducing the Young People's Advisory Group (YPAG) - we are a youth-led and diverse community of 14-25 year olds advising and shaping mental health research and services in North West London. Our award-winning group sits within the ARC Outreach Alliance programme which is based at Imperial College London.


Part of our role is to facilitate and lead unfiltered conversations about mental health so we have created a three-part podcast series, with each weekly episode exploring different facets of mental health for young people, from seeking support to aftercare, all through the lens of us young people in the YPAG and with special guests!


This series was planned, written, presented and edited by us.

    No idea where to start? In the second episode of ‘The Waiting Room’, we chat with Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Dr Raka Maitra. Raka joins us to share her professional insight into what professional support looks like, how to tackle common fears and how we should approach the idea of accessing help.


    Dr Raka works at Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust and in Kensington and Chelsea within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
