Summary

Today we remember Venerable John the Clairvoyant, an anchorite from Egypt who lived in the fourth century. John was a carpenter who became a monk and later chose a life of complete solitude on Mount Bolcha in the Thebaid.After many years of seclusion, John was granted the gift of clairvoyance. He offered guidance, healing, and prophecy to those who came to him, including predicting victories for Emperor Theodosius the Great and the future bishopric of the historian Palladius.
