One decision in a garden explains more about modern life than most of us want to admit. We open Genesis 3 and watch temptation do what it still does today: make disobedience feel reasonable, make autonomy feel brave, and make God look like the obstacle to happiness. With 1 Peter 2:11 and Jeremiah 17:9 in view, we face an essential discipleship principle: not every impulse we experience should be indulged, and our feelings are not a safe substitute for God’s Word.
