This past week was a doozy in the world of photography, thanks to the CP+ show in Yokohama, Japan, happening at the same time that Samsung announced a new smartphone and Xiaomi brought its 17 Ultra worldwide. But perhaps more interesting than any of it was the surprise appearance of a new prototype camera from Canon on the show floor: an SLR with a fixed, manual focus lens and a top-down, waist-level viewfinder.
