In this candid part of my Christian Nervous System Healing series, I share my personal story of mistaking constant activity for productivity, leading to significant "work stress". I used to operate in "survival mode", pushing through until my body could no longer cope. This video explores how understanding "nervous system regulation" and addressing the roots of "burnout" through a gentle, embodied approach can lead to profound healing, even from past "anxiety".
In Part 4 of the Christian Nervous System Healing series, I'm sharing part of my own story. I used to run on busy. I called it productive. Responsible.
Just keeping going. I didn't think of it as stress — until my body completely shut down and took years to recover.
In this video, I talk about what I didn't understand at the time: that stress isn't just conflict or hard emotions — it's overaccumulation without recovery.
That working hard for God can quietly become performing at Him. That pushing through can feel like faithfulness right up until it doesn't.
And I share what changed when I stopped fighting my body and started listening to it instead.
