It's a very rare accomplishment to become a professional athlete in any sport. It's estimated that only 1 in every 15,000+ kids who play organized sports will grow up to become a professional athlete. But to make the odds even longer, imagine how few siblings grow up to BOTH become pros?? It's extremely rare.

To make it an even more mind-blowing accomplishment, some sets of siblings become big stars in their sport, making all-star teams and even the Hall of Fame. Stage Names are popular across all forms of entertainment. An actor may choose a simpler, easier to remember stage name. A musician may choose something flashy that gets your attention. It's Oscar Week! We are big fans of the movies and usually have strong opinions on who we think should or should not win Academy Awards each year. Which gave us the idea to discuss the biggest Oscar Snubs of all time. But because we're just a couple of dopes, we knew we had to bring in some serious muscle for this episode.

We were lucky enough to be joined by our old friend Jatin Setia who we worked with years ago. Since then he has gone on to do BIG things, including founding and running the Twin Cities Film Fest which happens every fall and is in its 17th year. They have premiered and showcased Oscar winning movies over the years as well as brought in some big Hollywood names for their events. One of those big names is one of Mark's lifelong crushes!

We brought our old friend Terry Daniel back to help us this week, listing our top 4 favorite Space Movies. Terry has been with us twice before, making him our very first three-time guest!

He was the perfect guest for this topic. He brought a fun movie that never crossed our minds. And between all of our picks we discuss some of the biggest Hollywood directors, actors and franchises of the last 50 years.

A while back we did an episode about our favorite Sci-Fi Movies, which does include a lot of Space Movies. But this week we focused on movies based in space, regardless of the genre. So if you want to add a Rom-Com Space Movie to your list, go for it!

We are both big fans of the Winter Olympics and watched just about every day of it the last few weeks. Back in 2024 we did an episode about our favorite Summer Olympians and with the Winter games just wrapping up we decided it was a good time to honor our favorite Winter Olympians too!

We recorded this episode right as the Olympics were getting started, so we were not aware of all the excitement that was to come. Or the tough crash that ended Lindsey Vonn's Olympic comeback. All that being said, we chose athletes who have excelled over the last 30+ years and are both very happy with our lists.

With it being the week of Valentine's Day we decided to spread the love and do an episode dedicated to our favorite "Love Songs." ❤️ However, there is a twist... each song we chose HAD to have the word LOVE in the title. And no variations of that word either, so nothing with LOVER or LOVING, etc. Just LOVE.

Since that was the only restriction we put on ourselves, we didn't need to focus only on romantic songs. Some of our picks certainly fell into that category anyway, but some of them are much more about the broad definition of love, and having love for one another. You know... hippie stuff.

So keep that in mind when you share YOUR picks with us. Every song on your list has to have the word "LOVE" in the title!
