When We Don’t Know How to Live Together
Sometimes we struggle
to live with one another.
We don’t think the same.
We don’t believe the same.
We don’t live the same.
And often,
our differences become reasons
to separate,
dismiss,
or fear one another.
Nevertheless,
Paul writes in Romans:
“Live in harmony with one another…”
— from Epistle to the Romans 12:16
When singers harmonize,
they do not sing the same notes.
They learn
to sing different notes together.
We don’t become identical.
But we can learn
how to sing our parts together.
Because harmony is not created
when only one voice is heard.
It emerges
when different voices
learn to carry the song together.

This is 60 Seconds of Hope.
Peace be with you.
