Convergence Podcast. Sharing auditory vibes with the world...my mixes currently fall into the following series that loosely map to genres. 0.5.1 - except this one - there is no 'loosely' here. This series is unabashedly techno. It may have a slower or faster BPM, but it moves and it moves hard. Mood - touches on the melancholic side of house. Soothing and often deeply introspective with a backbeat built for a dark floor and a late night. Resonance - a series focusing on trance - mostly vocal, and sometimes dramatically laden with ballads...poetic at times, pop-adjacent at others. Unter - the soul of this series is house.. These mixes are a blend of deep house, progressive house, minimal techno, and what I dub "light techno." Any given mix may contain one or more of these elements, sometimes with some rather deep electro spacey feels.     A masterclass in controlled darkness. Where Vol. 18 hit hard and industrial, this one goes deeper and colder — thirteen tracks of cerebral techno that draws from the genre's most storied lineage. L.B. Dub Corp's remix of Marcel Dettmann sets the tone early: clinical, hypnotic, unforgiving. Dave Clarke's "The Storm" in Surgeon's hands is the mid-set centrepiece, a collision of two legends that justifies the whole volume. Dustin Zahn's "Surrender the Body" and Chloe Lula's "Sepiatone" push the mix into more abstract, textural territory, before Claudio PRC's "Ebony Feathers" closes things out with characteristic precision and restraint. Ten tracks of rolling progressive house that opens deceptively gently — Ella X's vocal drift on "Ocean," Pablo Gargano's hypnotic early groove — before the mix tightens its grip through the mid-section. Leandro Murua's remix of Chicato & AOVA's "Craving" and Marco Bedini's "Gaia" mark the turning point, where atmosphere gives way to something more insistent. Adam Beyer & Vintage Culture's "Lift Me Up" is the peak the whole set has been building toward, and Juan Pablo Torrez's "Rome" walks it back out with quiet purpose.
