Resulta muy difícil entender a Sevilla sin su Semana Santa, igual que es imposible conocer la Semana Santa sin conocer su historia. Por ello, el abuelo de Paula ha tenido la idea de escribirle a su nieta, que vive en París, una serie de cartas donde comparten el pasado de una celebración única. A partir de lo que ambos vivieron en esos días grandes de la ciudad de Sevilla, Paula irá descubriendo en estas cartas remitidas por su abuelo, las raíces y la memoria de la que para ellos (y para muchos de nosotros) es la fiesta más bonita del mundo.
