James Bennet joins us in the studio to talk about his Ben Garston series and the latest release, Raising Fire. He introduces us to the series and his characters, tells us how fantasy and the real world interact and explains why this book is a little darker.

Beginning her professional career as a fashion journalist and stylist, Scanlon has gone on to become a household name at the BBC, fronting documentaries on BBC Three, and presenting Your Home Made Perfect. Scanlon has not stopped there: she has also presented a BBC Radio 2 show and often presents The One Show too. Magid, born in Somalia, came to Britain as a refugee in 1994. He grew up in Sheffield and completed a travelling gap year before studying at the University of Hull, where his foray into politics began, being elected as Students Union president. Entering the world of work, Magid was elected as a Green Party councillor on Sheffield City Council in 2016, and from 2018-2019 he served as lord mayor.

Joining us from home is post-doctoral research scientist Dr Tim Gregory, whose book Meteorite brings us not just the story of our planet, but the origins of the solar system in a comprehensible form. Dr Tim Gregory grew up in Yorkshire and has always had a fascination with science, mainly space and rocks.
