Ivy Morgan-Harker has everything she’s ever wanted, including a devoted new husband and an upcoming break from her nursery business for the Michigan winter. Then the unthinkable happens. Upon arriving at Morgan Nursery early one morning, she finds a body strung up in the middle of her happy sanctum...and there’s a message attached telling her that she’s next. The victim is the son of a well-known bar owner, a bar that Ivy helped bring down when she broke up a local prostitution ring.

There’s a killer on the loose and a poltergeist locked in a lighthouse. Are the two things connected? Harper is determined to find out, even if she has to ask for help from a witchy friend to get her answers. Magic is might, and Harper’s group has magic on their side. Survival isn’t a given, however. Everybody is going to have to work together to solve this one, and even then, the answers might be more than anybody can bear.

Harper Harlow is ready to move forward with her business, which just so happens to include taking ownership of the beleaguered Whisper Cove Cemetery. She and her partner Zander Pritchett have big plans...until the day they close on the property and discover a body on one of the well-worn pathways.

Jack Harker says the honeymoon will never be over, but it’s back to reality for him and his wife Ivy. Unfortunately for them, that means murder is on the menu...and this newest body is dropped in Ivy’s nursery parking lot. Jack is a mess when he realizes a sniper took out a local woman. Ivy, although shocked because it happened right in front of her eyes, is also intrigued. When the duo starts digging, they find themselves drawn into an ugly underworld that’s happening right under their noses.

Jared Monroe decided to surprise his new wife with a honeymoon in Salem, Massachusetts. The goal was to have fun, bask in the sun, and eat some good seafood. The fact that there’s a ghost hunting conference happening at the same time is just added icing on the cupcake of life. Then the unthinkable happens, and Harper’s best friend Zander Pritchett magically shows up for the conference...and decides to hijack their honeymoon. Jared might be able to put up with Zander, but when a missing girl and several ghosts rile up the atmosphere, things threaten to spiral out of control.

Avery Shaw has the world at her fingertips...and a pile of dead Santas near the railroad tracks. Interestingly, she’s more focused on the Santas than her personal life, but only because she’s been warned that a proposal is imminent from her live-in love Eliot Kane and she needs to look somewhere else - anywhere else will do - rather than accept what he’s trying to offer. Avery never pictured herself married but it appears it might be happening...no matter how she tries to dodge and weave. The Santas make an enticing distraction, so Avery throws herself in with gusto.

Harper Harlow’s romantic life is perfect, her wedding is in the works, and now she’s decided to enhance her business standing by attending a haunted campground opening. If she enjoys herself, publicly endorses it and the owner, then she’ll open up a brave new world. Unfortunately for Harper, old ghosts die hard and a fresh murder taints what is supposed to be a quiet weekend.

Harper Harlow thought the only thing she was going to have to worry about in the shadow of spring was planning her wedding. She was wrong. A string of break-ins in Whisper Cove have caught the attention of the cops, including her fiancé Jared Monroe. Things take a turn for the worse when one of those break-ins results in the death of a local barber. It seems what was once written off as teenage hijinks is something else entirely. In addition to the break-ins, Harper finds herself distracted by a new resident. He’s bringing an art gallery to town...as well as his troubled sister.

Halloween is Avery Shaw’s favorite time of year. What’s not to love? Slasher movies, hot chocolate, and corn mazes. She’s addicted to them all. During a visit to one of those mazes, she runs across several men trying to kidnap a teenage girl. In true Avery fashion, she intervenes...resulting in a severe injury. While she’s on the mend, she starts tracking information on a group of people working in the area.

Avery Shaw has taken on her fair share of jerks. Often, she’s considered the jerk when she takes them down...a role she gladly relishes. Now, though, she’s taking on a whole faction of jerks. It seems a battle of the sexes is brewing in Macomb County. A local shock jock, a man who believes women should be home tending children and keeping the house clean while men bring home the bacon, is on trial for sexually harassing his underlings.

Ivy Morgan and Jack Harker don’t have many complaints. Things are good, life is quiet, and the only big thing on their to-do lists is picking a date for their wedding. Which is exactly what they’re doing when a local celebutante approaches with an offer for Jack to be on a dating show. He turns her down flat and goes on his way, but the next morning, she’s found dead and the list of suspects is endless thanks to the production landing smackdab in the middle of Shadow Lake.

There’s nothing Avery Shaw loves more than a challenge....at least when it comes to tracking down a story. The challenge she’s facing this time is the one thing she might not be able to overcome, though. Vacation. That’s right, not only is Southeastern Michigan’s busiest reporter off work for a week....but she’s also on the receiving end of a visit from her boyfriend’s mother. Eliot Kane is tough as nails but he’s obviously nervous about the two most important women in his life crossing paths.

The primary election is almost here, and Avery Shaw is in her glory. Her boss has unleashed her on the leading candidates - including two of whom she downright loathes - and Macomb County's leading reporter (and pot-stirrer extraordinaire) is about to turn the election on its ear. She just needs to find a story first. When her nemesis, Tad Lancaster, loses a volunteer, Avery sniffs out a bigger story...or at least she thinks she does. She has a pile of documents, too many insidious ideas to wrangle, and a long-suffering boyfriend who can do nothing but shake his head.

For Ivy Morgan, that means deciding on the finishing touches for her basement renovation project and toiling away at her nursery to get flowers and bushes ready for the upcoming planting season. All that changes when a shot rings out and Ivy finds a dead woman in her driveway. The woman was supposed to be there, she was Ivy’s designer, after all. Still, Ivy can’t help but wonder if the designer was the intended target. The timing seems a little too convenient.

Avery Shaw is living the dream.... Kind of.

She's officially moved to her dream house, and her boyfriend Eliot Kane is making her host a housewarming party to show off the new digs to her family. All is going well–other than the endless arguments over food and hiding from Avery's family, of course–until one of Avery's enemies comes calling.

Avery's former boyfriend Jake Farrell broke up with Cara Carpenter weeks before but she's still stalking him.... and Avery in the process. When Cara turns up dead at a high-profile event, not only is Jake a suspect, but Avery and Eliot are, too.

There's no better time to be in love - and newly engaged - than Valentine's Day. That's what Ivy Morgan believes anyway. She's happy, looking forward to spring, and eager to show her fiancé Jack Harker around Shadow Lake's infamous winter festival. Unfortunately for Ivy, things don't go as planned. While visiting the community barn, one of the girls prepping for the annual pageant falls ill and Ivy has a terrifying vision of the event before it happens. It turns out the girl has been poisoned, and in an effort to watch the remaining girls, Ivy signs up to be a mentor.

Happiness, joy, and a proposal? Merry Christmas from Shadow Lake. Jack Harker is a nervous wreck. He has big Christmas plans for his girlfriend Ivy Morgan, and they involve a ring and house renovations all at one time. First, he has to make sure they both make it through a tense holiday season, though. For Ivy, things are less clear.

Harper Harlow has ghosts coming out of her ears. Between her regular jobs at Ghost Hunters, Inc. - and the secret her best friend Zander appears to be keeping - she has her hands full. Things only become more complicated when one of Whisper Cove's oldest residents comes knocking on the police department's door. It seems Annette Fleming decided to do some cleaning and while in the attic she found some photographs of a dead body, and she has no idea who the victim is or when she died.

Whisper Cove is stuck in a heat wave, although it's nothing compared to the fire stoking between Harper Harlow and Jared Monroe. They're happy and enjoying themselves...until a face from the past resurfaces. Jason Thurman and Harper had a brief fling in high school, and when he returns to town to open a restaurant he's hoping they can revisit their relationship as adults.

Jack Harker and Ivy Morgan are happy. Actually, they're more than happy. They're also content. Nothing can get in their way. That all changes when a disheveled teenager shows up at Shadow Lake's weekly dance. The girl is dirty, disoriented, and traumatized. That means Jack and Ivy are on the case, and the truth of one girl's horror may bring the entire Shadow Lake community to its knees.
