The beautiful coastal village is too small and it's impossible to hide when you're a target. They know I'm different. They knew when I was a young girl and they know now. They're just waiting for the proof. They're all waiting for me to screw up like I always do. What they don't know is, I'm not staying. I'll take my scowling shifters - hopefully before they literally rip into one of the many hateful villagers - and I'll find the Solstice Queen. In Wonderland, there can only be one Alice. A series of absurd trials and dangerous games are the only way to solve who is the real Alice and who is the fake. If I win, I'll have the power to save two kingdoms. If I lose, it'll be more than just the Hatter who's lethally mad.

I didn’t fall into a place of wonder and madness. I was taken. This world is a perfect, enchanting wonderland. The people here are just as alluring. But we all have our secrets. Like the white rabbit who’s leading a rebellion right under the King’s nose. Or the sweet March Hare who’s actually an enemy spy. Or my one true ally in all of this, a killer who’s so feared they won’t even say his real name.

To stop the chaos, sacrifice is all that’s needed to make everything right again. The gods gave the realm of the living a Goddess of Love. She just has to give the world all of her love.

When you live in Hell, you're bound to get burned...I just never expected this kind of torment. And the one man who I thought I could trust in all of this is my worst abuser. Torben rejected me the moment we stepped foot into this ashen hellhole. He does their bidding by throwing me into deadly trials that are bound to break me. Sometimes he protects me from the brunt of it…and sometimes I think he wants me dead as much as they do. But I won't give them the satisfaction. Because I didn't come to Hell to die.
