The Book of Revelation is the final book in the Bible, The Revelations of St. John the Divine. It has been referred to as end times prophecy.

Proverbs is not merely an anthology but a "collection of collections" relating to a pattern of life that lasted for more than a millennium. It is an example of the Biblical wisdom tradition and raises questions of values, moral behavior, the meaning of human life, and right conduct.

The Book of Genesis, the first book of the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, is Judaism's account of the creation of the world and the origins of the Jewish people. It is divisible into two parts, the primeval history (chapters 1–11) and the ancestral history (chapters 12–50).

King Solomon tells us in the book of Proverbs that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. Wisdom, unlike knowledge, is the ability to see things as God sees them. While this book offers practical pieces of advice, it also teaches us that wisdom cannot exist in one’s life without a relationship with God.

The gospel is counterintuitive to humans. We are used to earning almost everything in our lives. God tells Jonah to preach repentance to Nineveh, a ruthless and idolatrous nation. Jonah, a prophet who does not like the Assyrians, wants Nineveh to be destroyed. Instead of following God’s call, Jonah rebels and sails the opposite direction, deliberately fleeing from God. Stubborn Jonah ends up in the belly of a fish. Listen to the story of this prophet as God disciplines him for his disobedience and teaches him that He loves all people, even the enemies of his chosen ones.

Much like the wisdom literature in the OT, James offers snippets of wisdom to Christians. The practical instruction he gives serves to motivate believers to be doers not just hearers of the word. His audience, Jewish Christians, is in the midst of social conflict in which they are seeking worldly advice instead of pursuing God's way. James' letter should inspire Christians today to seek divine wisdom in all situations while translating one's faith into practice.

The first book of the Bible, the Book of Genesis, in the beautiful poetic language of the King James version, tells the story of creation and traces the genealogy of the chosen people of God. Here are the stories of Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (renamed by God as Israel), ending with Joseph's descent into Egypt, with God's promise to them of future greatness.

It is not clear who wrote the Book of Proverbs or when it was written. However, we know that a part of it was written by King Solomon, who was the son of King David of Israel. This book is considered a set of instructions with which to tune the compass of one’s moral life. It is written in a poetic form using vivid imagery and begins with an emphasis on the quest to acquire wisdom. The first part of the book is about a father’s advice to his son. The central message of this advice pertains to seek virtue, integrity, and generosity, as only then can one achieve success and peace.

Around 484 BC, King Ahasuerus ordered a 180-day celebration as a show of his wealth and power. On the last day of the celebration, he ordered his wife, Queen Vashti, to appear and demonstrate her beauty, but she refused.

The Israelites have not been pursuing holiness as they should be. Rebellious and sinful, the people are in need of a savior. The prophet Malachi plays an important role in Israelite history. God warns Israel through Malachi. He tells them to repent and speaks of future restoration, foreshadowing of the coming Messiah. Listen to Malachi as he warns the people while still managing to remind them of God’s endless love.
