C. W. Leadbeater here writes about the concept of time, a popular topic of philosophical introspection at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. He imagines a reality where time is neither static nor linear, in spite of how we perceive it. He then ties all of this in with an individual's spirituality. This was originally a published edition of a lecture of his from 1913.

Robert Crosbie recounts the life of his friend and teacher, the notable William Q. Judge, one of the three founders of the Theosophical Society.In this brief biography, we learn that it was from the early age of seven, not from birth, that Judge came to possess the remarkable consciousness we've come to know.

Julia Keightley was much more of a mystic than many of her Theosophical peers in writing. She seemed to take a much more hands-on approach to the material than many of those around her. While other writers of her day were viewing Theosophy from an intellectual standpoint, Julia desired to see results from taking direct action. In this piece, originally published in the periodical Theosophy, in 1896, she writes of the importance of not escaping away into one's home, but instead, incorporating it into your spiritual life, as well as making it a part of the greater community.

It is not uncommon for new students of the spiritual and esoteric sciences to throw themselves fervently into the study of these subjects, once they've had an initial taste. Here, Francis Annesley writes on this common event, but rarely written-about subject. He discusses the pitfalls of the new student too eagerly wishing to teach others and cautions the teachers against imparting too much learning too quickly.
