In each job, he is forced into conflicts with the Indians. Finally his skills as an Indian fighter caught the attention of the US Army, and he was given a commission. Matt was given the opportunity to serve his country in the Military Information Division. His decision to forego his dreams of being a cavalry officer led him to a life in the shadows.

Becky’s uncles, Ike, Jesse, and Caleb Branson were lawmen in the West. One by one, the Branson brothers left the hills of Missouri and headed west. Ike and Jesse worked their way across the land working as ranch hands, Indian scouts, and finally lawmen. Caleb lost his wife and newborn child, sold his farm, and headed to Texas to try and become a Texas Ranger. Ike and Jesse Branson become deputy US marshals, Ike in New Mexico and Jesse in California.

The adventures of the Baxter and Brubakers are chronicled while moving Cree Indians to Canada, fighting in the Spanish-American and American-Philippine Wars, then their involvement with the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I, and their efforts to keep the peace on the Texas-Mexico Border during the Mexican Revolution.

The Texican is a fictional account of one man’s experiences during the middle to late 19th century in Texas. Honks Pickens decided to kill two Apache that stole his cattle - an ill-advised decision that led to the Indians killing his family and a series of tit-for-tat vengeful killings that would last for years.

The Cattlemen is a Western novel based on the relationship between Bill Brubaker and Bud Baxter, childhood friends who share the dream of becoming cattlemen. The friends grew up on adjoining farms in the Huzzah Valley in central Missouri, left home together, fought in the Civil War in the same unit, and went to Texas together to pursue their dream of becoming Cattlemen. They rounded up feral cattle in Texas and Oklahoma Territory.

The Frontiersman – Massacre at Buffalo Creek, continues Hannibal Brinks and Stumpy Smith saga. As they were delivering cows to the mining camp, Tall Bear and his Arapaho braves attacked them in Drago Canyon. They survive the ambush only to be attack. On their way back to the ranch, five drygulchers try to steal the money from the cattle sale. They survive the attack and meet two men who will become cow hands on their ranch. A young Lieutenant stops at the Circle BS and spends the night with his detail.

Sprout is attacked by Indians. He finds a buffalo wallow and stands them off until Klu and Shad come to his rescue. Melody delivers a baby girl they name Elizabeth “Lizzy." Mark decided to take a trip to Pueblo to clear his head and make a decision regarding his future with Rachel. While traveling, he helps the owner of a small ranch deal with cattle rustlers.

Jeff Baker survives the Civil War and becomes a U.S. Marshal in the Indian Territory. He tires of hunting and killing men in order to keep the peace and resigns. After settling at Bitter Creek, in Hardin County, Texas, he gathers cattle and sells them in Galveston. He saves the life of a Negro boy and acts as his guardian. Jeff finds that he can’t hide from his responsibilities and becomes a U.S. Marshal in Houston, Texas. The Clancy brothers are rustling cattle and mixing them in with their herd. Three men rob the Wells Fargo office and head out toward Beaumont.

Klu and Shad complete the construction on the Bar TC ranch. Melody gives birth to a healthy boy and the future looks great. The Colorado Cattlemen’s Association decide that the best way to defeat the drought conditions of 1868 is to drive out all the farmers and small ranchers and use their land for grazing. First, the Lanswing ranch, the Slash L, finds themselves in the crosshairs of the Cattlemen’s Association hired guns. They refuse to sell or give in. Next in the sights of the hired gunmen is the Bar TC owned by Klu Klinger and Shad Benfold.

The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma has been bombed. The FBI has determined that two men, working entirely alone, were responsible for the blast that killed 168 people and injured hundreds more. One man in the Bureau knows that there is a coverup, and if it is ever discovered, his position and those of others will pay the price for the deception.

It is October 1973. The Yom Kipper War is being fought between the Israelis and the forces of Syria and Egypt. The Israel Defense Forces are forbidden to execute enemy combatants. The Committee has no such restrictions. Enter Allen Stevens – The Problem Solver, to do a favor for the Israeli government. After several failed attempts, Allen and his Mossad companions find Akram Al-Masri – a man known as Satan’s Angel by the Israelis. Allen dispatches Al-Masri and goes back home.

The Colorado Territory is the story of the Bar TC’s move from No Man’s Land in the Indian Territory to Las Animas County in the Colorado Territory. Before the trail drive even starts, Klu saved a white girl from Indians, had a run-in with buffalo hunters, and fought off a group of Comanche. He buys land and files homestead claims for 160 acres for each of the Bar TC crew. While on the trip, he marries Melody Rose Goodwill, the girl he rescued from the Indians. The trail drive from No Man’s Land to Las Animas County is only about fifty-five miles.
