Another menacing force has entered the city. The Tri-State Scorpions have migrated from New Jersey and are looking to make the city their own. After one of the leaders of the Scorpions gets in a shootout with Haley, he is transported to a local hospital where Mia is working. The Scorpions take over the hospital, causing it to go on lockdown. After receiving a troublesome text message that indicates Mia is in some type of danger, Recker must find a way to get into the hospital and save her before it's too late.

Even while Rich Mallette is in prison, he’s still calling the shots. Brett Jacobs may have taken out a dozen of his men, but he’s not ready to throw in the towel just yet. He’s still got a few things up his sleeve for the former detective, one of which is another heinous act aimed to destroy what’s left of Jacobs’ soul. While Jacobs battles more of Mallette’s Maulers, he also learns the identity of the second man who was with Frazier when his family was killed.

Jones finally has his number called. Someone from his past is gunning for him. What's really worrisome is that whoever it is, might have skills that even surpass Jones'. After finding out that their secret office isn't as secretive as they thought, the team has to assume that they're being watched, and listened to, at all times.

After being ambushed, Recker goes missing for several days and is presumed dead. Once he returns, he seeks retribution on the men responsible and turns to an unlikely source to help him get his revenge. As he embarks on his plot for retribution, he must not only carefully navigate around Mia's growing feelings for him, but also his own feelings for her. While still not forgetting his main goal of helping the innocent, Recker also further cements his relationship with Tyrell by helping him with a family problem.

Bridge and Nicole are hired to find a missing man and woman who stole company plans, and money, from the woman’s father. They’ll soon learn they’re on a time crunch, as the stolen plans are scheduled to be sold rather quickly. Their investigation takes them to Europe, where they have to sort through numerous false identities before they’re able to track their targets down. But before they find their suspects, they’ll have to battle several crime syndicates in order to get to what they’re really after.

Despite getting the cold shoulder from Mia initially upon his return, Recker works hard at freeing her from danger, taking her to the only place he knows she'll be safe.

Bridge and Nicole are given a job by Eric Happ. And like most jobs that are assigned by the government, there is more than meets the eye with this one. Their assignment seems simple enough at first. They just have to take out a man in Venezuela, who’s trying to start his own criminal empire down there. But the simple assignment will quickly become more complicated as unfriendly faces recognize Bridge, which could throw the whole job into chaos.

Bridge and Nicole are swept into a case involving spies and mercenaries. Before they even know what hits them, they’re ambushed, and taken prisoner. They’re split up, and with no one knowing where they are, they’re left to their own devices. Escaping is almost impossible. Bridge is beaten into submission, while Nicole gets put into the hands of a crazed doctor who’s intent on wiping her memories and planting new ones, all in the hopes of turning her into Russia’s newest secret agent. After the circumstances of Agent 17's death, the CIA turns to a specialist to help track down the man they think is responsible - John Smith. Though Recker knows Centurion is coming, he doesn't change how he operates and winds up on police surveillance cameras. Feeling the walls closing in, Jones wants to pack up and move to a new city, though Recker has reservations about leaving. It all boils down to a final confrontation between Recker and his former employers - one he may not survive.

Hall is lured into a trap, then rescued by an old acquaintance. That same acquaintance also helps Hall get his next job. It’s nothing but a simple blackmail case. Only in this case, there’s nothing simple about it. Hall’s latest case involves a woman who’s receiving threatening notes. As soon as he’s hired, though, the woman turns up dead. But that’s not the end of the case for Hall. Even though his client is dead, that won’t stop him. He’s going to get to the bottom of this case and find out the murderer.
