Maine Ram Ratan Dhan Payo: Aao prem ki ek jheel mein nauka-vihaar karein. Aur aisi jheel manushya ke itihaas mein doosri nahi hai, aisi jheel Meera hai. Mansarovar bhi utna swacha nahin. Aur hanson ki hi gati ho sakegi Meera ki is jheel mein. Hans bano, to hi utar sakoge is jheel mein. Hans na bane to na utar paooge. Meera ki is jheel mein tumhein nimantran deta hoon. These discourses contain what Osho describes as the most significant statements ever made, which point to the whole secret of the mystic approach toward life. And the sutra that begins this series of discourses, he says, contains the very essence of the entire Upanishadic vision - that the universe is an indivisible totality, an organic whole. Osho illuminates these ancient texts with such clarity that their significance seems stunningly obvious.

The word Christ came into existence 300 years after Jesus; and out of the word Christ developed Christian and Christianity. While Friedrich Nietzsche stated that Christ was the last Christian, according to Osho, Jesus was not only the last Christian, but he was also the first Christian–the first and the last Christian, because in this world no individual is ever repeated.

Responses to a question on how to explore the higher states of consciousness. According to Osho there are not many ways to explore higher levels of consciousness, there is but one: the way of awareness. "Man is almost unconscious. I say “almost” - there are moments, situations where he becomes conscious, but they are momentary."

There is a famous Zen story about a disciple, Riko, who once asked his master, Nansen, to explain to him the old Zen koan of the goose in the bottle. Namely, if a man puts a gosling into a bottle and feeds the gosling through the bottle's neck until it grows and becomes a goose - and then there is simply no more room inside the bottle - how can the man get it out without killing the goose or breaking the bottle? In response, Nansen shouts, "Riko!" and gives a great clap with his hands.

What is the cause of your misery? In this short response to a question, Osho creates an understanding to move from blaming others to a declaration of self-respect, freedom, and responsibility.

Yah samaj tumhare dukh par ji rahe ho. Yaha jo yashasvi log hai ve tum par tabhi tak niyantran kar sakte hai jab tak tum dukhi ho. Islyie tumhe dhukhi rahna padta hai. Lekin sukh tumhara svabhav hai, tumhare bhitar hi hai. Dukh ke karan dur kar do, sukh pragat hoga.

The organized religions have exploited humanity’s insecurity in the face of life’s mysteries by providing readymade sets of beliefs. But in an increasingly sophisticated, globalized society, the consolation of belief has been losing its appeal. And a purely materialistic science that denies consciousness, or that makes it merely a byproduct of matter, has nothing to offer as an alternative.
