Zachary Thornton's life essentially ended two years ago when his wife and twin daughters were gunned down in cold blood for witnessing a mob hit, but he can't end the pain until he sees his family's killer brought to justice, one way or another. Thus, it is no surprise when he jumps at an offer from a mysterious stranger promising to both avenge the murders and give him a reason to live beyond vengeance. Grady Loveland finds himself in quite a jam when his wife and his mistress give birth to his daughters within minutes of each other. Everyone is amazed that the babies seem identical. Grady gets the babies mixed up while trying to figure out how he's going to keep the secret from his wife. Luckily, his mistress had a feeling about which child was hers. "Trust me. A mother knows," she had explained. Her maternal instincts had been correct. Grady must decide if he'll keep his vows to his wife or leave her for his mistress.
