Round the Moon is Jules Verne's sequel to From the Earth to the Moon. Having been fired out of the giant Columbiad space gun, the Baltimore Gun Club's bullet-shaped projectile and its three passengers, Barbicane, Nicholl and Michel Ardan, begins the five-day trip to the moon. A few minutes into the journey, a small, bright asteroid passes within a few hundred yards of them, but luckily does not collide with the projectile. The asteroid had been captured by the Earth's gravity and had become a second moon. The three travelers undergo a series of adventures and misadventures during the rest of the journey.

Story0
What if there was another wise man, one whose journey never led him to Bethlehem? A man who saw the star but never reached the manger, whose hands were filled with treasures meant for a king but emptied by the weight of compassion. This is not just a Christmas tale. It is a story for those who have ever felt delayed, detoured, or lost. A story that asks: What if the greatest offering was not gold, but the giving of oneself?

Step into the witty, unsettling, and delightfully ironic world of Saki (H.H. Munro), one of the sharpest voices in Edwardian literature. This classic collection gathers his most memorable and darkly humorous short stories, including The Music on the Hill, The Unrest-Cure, Gabriel-Ernest, and the widely loved The Open Window. Saki's tales are known for their unexpected twists, elegant prose, and subtle satire of British society, often exposing the absurdities behind genteel manners and upper-class conventions.

Some gatherings stay with you—not for what was shared, but for what was carefully left unsaid. This banquet glitters with politeness, warmth, and something colder beneath the surface. In the silence between the courses, sorrow sits dressed in holiday cheer. A festive tradition, unsettling by design.

Hector Hugh Munro (18 December 1870 – 14 November 1916), better known by the pen name Saki and also frequently as H. H. Munro, was a British writer whose witty, mischievous and sometimes macabre stories satirize Edwardian society and culture. He is considered a master of the short story, and often compared to O. Henry and Dorothy Parker. Influenced by Oscar Wilde, Lewis Carroll and Rudyard Kipling, he himself influenced A. A. Milne, Noël Coward and P. G. Wodehouse.

“We’re going to have another baby. This time it’s a girl!” my wife gleefully announced. Our excitement knew no bounds, but so did our financial anxiety. With two kids already and another on the way, how could we afford daycare? Our credit card balances were mounting, and though we never missed a payment, financial freedom seemed like a distant dream. Then came the decision that changed everything: my wife would pause her career to stay home with the kids, dramatically reducing our household income.

Story0
John Milton's On the Morning of Christ's Nativity is no ordinary Christmas poem. Written when he was just twenty-one, it reveals an early glimpse of the depth and ambition that would later shape Paradise Lost. Here, the nativity is not sentimental but cosmic: a quiet moment that echoes across heaven, earth, and myth. This is poetry as vision—blending classical imagery, biblical themes, and rich musical language. Angels descend, stars pause in wonder, and the natural world falls into a hush. Pagan gods retreat into silence, as if even they recognize the shift in power.

Story0
Christmas has a way of finding the lonely, the forgotten, and those who no longer dare to hope. In Christmas at Red Butte, Montgomery gifts us a tale wrapped in longing and tied with the ribbon of unexpected joy. The cold prairies seem empty, the holiday spirit a distant dream—until a single spark of kindness turns the season into something magical. This is a story of simple people whose hearts beat in quiet resilience, of family bonds stretched thin by fate yet mended by love, and of Christmas arriving not in grand gestures, but in the warmth of an open door.

Christmas is not in the lights, nor the gifts, nor the glittering decorations—it is in the hands that give, the hearts that open, the kindness that expects nothing in return. A Christmas Inspiration is a tale that shimmers with the quiet beauty of generosity, a story where one small act of warmth illuminates the season far brighter than any candle. With Montgomery's signature grace, the narrative unfolds like freshly fallen snow—soft, luminous, and filled with the hush of something deeply, unmistakably good.

Christmas Eve—the night of joy, wonder, and magic. But what if the heart of Christmas itself was stolen? In this enchanting yet unexpected tale, L. Frank Baum dares to ask: what happens when Santa Claus disappears? Hidden away in his ice-bound Laughing Valley, Santa has made it his life's work to bring happiness to children across the world. But not everyone welcomes his kindness. Dark forces lurk beyond the cheerful glow of Christmas, and when Santa is taken captive, the very spirit of the holiday hangs in the balance.
