Es un libro lleno de anécdotas, enseñanzas, y reflexiones de tipo espiritual, escrito con breves y sencillas palabras, haciéndolo comprensible para cualquier descifrador. Cada historia se identifica por su título y tiene algo peculiar: son poemas escritos desde el ámbito espiritual, a modo de reflexión personal.

Since first published in 1923, The Prophet written by Kahlil Gibran has never been out of print. This classic has been translated in to more than 50 languages, and is constantly on international best seller lists. The book is made up of 26 prose poems, delivered as sermons by a wise man called Almustafa. He is about to set sail for his homeland after 12 years in exile on a fictional island when the people of the island ask him to share his wisdom on the big questions of life, such as love, family, work and death.

Kahlil Gibran’s masterpiece, The Prophet, is one of the most beloved classics of our time. Published in 1923, it has been translated into more than 20 languages, and the American editions alone have sold more than nine million copies. The Prophet is a collection of poetic essays that are philosophical, spiritual, and, above all, inspirational. Gibran’s musings are divided into 28 chapters covering such sprawling topics as love, marriage, children, giving, eating and drinking, work, joy and sorrow, housing, clothes, buying and selling, crime and punishment, and more.

The Madman: His Parables and Poems, Gibran's first book published in English, is a collection of approximately 35 inspirational parables and poems on God, animals, human nature, and the meaning of life. These brief but memorable pieces serve as sources of contemplation and include "How I Became a Madman", "The Two Hermits", "The Wise Dog", "The Good God and the Evil God", "Night and the Madman", "When My Sorrow Was Born", and “When My Joy Was Born".

This collection of meditations on spiritual development was published in 1920. In the words of the author: "You are your own forerunner, and the towers you have builded are but the foundation of your giant-self. And that self too shall be a foundation."
