Political revolutions have never resulted in the changes they promised. Real change can according to Osho only come from a personal rebellion, a rebellion based on "yes" - yes to existence, yes to nature, yes to yourself. Humanity has been guided by traditions which are all life-negative - the results of endless wars, a planet in danger and a humanity losing direction are obvious results of these traditions.

Vipassana sabse kimti dhyan hai. Iski vidhi hai, sirph baithkar shvas ko dekhte rahna. Yah pranayam nahi hai, shvas ki naisargik gati ko sakshibhav se dekhna hi vipassana hai. Knowledge is dependent on the past, it is mechanical, it is second-hand, it comes from another, and hides the truth from ourselves. Knowing gives us inner direction; knowledge only outer direction. And the key to the intuitive faculty of knowing is meditation.

What is love? Everyone will have a different notion of what love is. In this talk Osho says that love has become the rarest of rare and speaks of learning how to grow love, how to create a climate of love, of gratitude and thankfulness. Learn how to grow love, to overflow with love, to give love rather than living in need masquerading as love. Instead, prepare the ground for love as a natural functioning.

Every child has been conditioned not to love himself but to love others. That is impossible. Only a very deeply selfish person can be unselfish. Being self-centered is basic. A self-centered person seeks to maximize his happiness. The happier you become, the more you will seek to share that happiness with others. That is the only way to be happy.

In Zen, Zest, Zip, Zap and Zing, Osho responds to questions on love, freedom, morality, women’s role in society, nostalgia, a child’s right to privacy, the purpose of life, and more. Again and again he nudges the listener back to the essential: Zen – awareness, being here and now. Mahaavir guru nahi hain. Mahavir kalyanmitr hain. Ve kehte hain, main kuch kehta hoon, use samajh lo; mere sahare lene ki zaroorat nahi hai. Meri sharan aane se tum mukt na ho jaaoge. Meri sharan aane se to naya bandhan nirmit hoga, kyunki do bane rahenge. Bhakt aur bhagwaan bana rahega. Shishya aur guru bana rahega. Nahi, do ko to mitaana hai.

Man has come of age, and does not need old, superstitious religions which are not relevant to contemporary people anymore. Yet, religious establishments try everything to revive and keep these religions alive on artificial life support—we see fundamentalist movements reborn all over the world. People do realize that religion is an empty box. Today's times need a more scientific approach for exploring our inner beings. That will be possible only if we get rid of our old habits.

To follow any kind of leader is an intrinsically fascist concept—introduced to us by religions and conditioning. People want to be free, yet they are looking for a leader to provide that freedom, keeping themselves bound in a subtle slavery. Osho encourages us to have the guts to create our own path. To walk it and create it at the same time. This talk is a deep analysis of the human mind, its conditioning and the understanding needed to be free from the obstacles preventing its freedom.
