Michael bringt Nimmerland mit seiner übermütigen Art in Gefahr. Mit seinem Bruder John will er Beaver Bob beim Brauen eines Mut-Trankes helfen. Doch er ist unaufmerksam und vorschnell. Während der Trank gebraut wird, wirft er Blumen hinein, die auf keinen Fall in den Trank gedurft hätten. Dadurch wird die Energie von Nimmerland destabilisiert und es geschehen seltsame Dinge.

Die Verlorenen Kinder wollen den einzigen Geburtstag feiern, der in Nimmerland gefeiert werden darf: den von Hook. Sie haben ihm eine riesige Statue gebaut, die aussieht wie er selbst. Um Hook zu ärgeren, wollen sie die Statue mit juckenden Pflanzen füllen. Doch es kommt alles ganz anders, weil Peter hypnotisiert wird und Hook das Metronomikum in die Hände bekommt.

In Nimmerland wird das Große Buch von der Diebin Sienna geklaut. Sie tauscht das Buch bei Hook gegen ein altes Armband ein. Hook gelingt es, die Monster aus dem Buch zum Leben zu erwecken. Er gibt ihnen den Befehl, die Einwohner von Nimmerland gefangen zu nehmen und auf die Jolly Roger zu bringen. Nur Michael schafft es, zu entkommen.

In einem Streit fährt John seinen Bruder hart an. Traurig geht Michael zur Lagune der Meerjungfrauen. Die überreden ihn, vom verzauberten Lagunenwasser zu trinken, um ihn zu kontrollieren. Michael sorgt nun dafür, dass die Piraten und die Verlorenen Kinder ebenfalls von dem Wasser trinken und sich in eine Art Zombie verwandeln.

John will für das Schultheater Fechten lernen. Peter verspricht, es ihm in Nimmerland zu zeigen. Doch dort haben die Wildschweine den Freizeitpark verwüstet, und Johns Hilfe ist gefragt. Während die Kinder die Wildschweine verscheuchen wollen, treffen sie auf die Piraten. Durch eine Saugpflanze werden John und Dagan in den Körper des jeweils anderen versetzt.

Michael ist total genervt, weil ihm die größeren Kinder nie zuhören. Das bleibt auch so, als sie nach Nimmerland kommen. Tinker Bell hat dasselbe Problem: den Kleinen hört keiner zu. Als Wasser aus dem Feensee gestohlen wird, machen sich Michael und Tinker Bell alleine auf die Suche nach dem Dieb. Sie wollen beweisen, dass die Kleinen was drauf haben.

Nur die Mädchen - Wendy und Tinker Bell - gelangen nach Nimmerland, da die Jungs beim Flug getrödelt haben. Als die am Stern ankommen, ist der Durchgang nach Nimmerland verschlossen. Hook hat den magischen Sextanten geklaut, der immer auf den Durchgangs-Stern gerichtet sein muss, damit er geöffnet ist.

Weil er nicht stark genug ist, wird John immer als Letzter ausgewählt. Als es ihm auch in Nimmerland passiert, verlässt er die Gruppe. Er geht zum Baum des Raunens und wünscht sich was. Er wünscht sich, dass sein Verstand zu Muskelkraft wird. Dadurch wird er zwar enorm stark, aber auch enorm dumm.

In Nimmerland fordert Chubs die Darlings zu einem Backwettbewerb heraus. Da Wendy nicht die Arbeit für ihre Brüder machen will, bilden die beiden ein eigenes Backteam. John findet im Großen Buch ein Rezept, für das ein Ei des Sumpfmonsters gebraucht wird. Die Jungs ziehen los, um eines zu besorgen. Doch das Ei wird ihnen von Hook abgenommen.
