Es quizas el cuento mas famoso de James Joyce.... Es una critica del famoso autor a la sociedad Irlandesa. La historia es simple: una cena en casa de tres hermanas viejas y solteras. La musica es un ingrediente indispensable de la obra, como lo es Gabriel el sobrino de las ancianas. El nombre original The Dead, puede traducirse como un solo muerto o varios.
