A Cat Groomer Mystery Series

When a millionaire is murdered and his Persian is orphaned, cat groomer Cassie must solve the case using clues from the feline before someone tries to silence them for good. 

With no ID for his pet, an agitated young man shows up at Cassie's Comfy Cats claiming his house has burned down and he needs to board his big brown cat, Ayesha. But after a bath washes dye out of the cat's coat and reveals beautiful spots, Cassie suspects the exotic-looking feline may, in fact, be a valuable Bengal show cat, possibly stolen. At the same time, there are rumored sightings of a wild cat in the hills of Chadwick, New Jersey. Could there be a connection?

Cassie's good friend Dawn is part of an organization that's trying to protect a colony of stray cats on the property of a condo community in Chadwick, New Jersey. The residents have gotten their backs up over the cat invasion, and Dawn has come to Cassie's grooming and boarding shop, Cassie's Comfy Cats, to ask for her help in talking sense to them. Not everyone's against the cats. Eccentric Sabrina Ward feeds them and has even created makeshift shelters for them in the nearby woods, infuriating her neighbors. Following a heated community meeting Sabrina's body is found in the woods.

With her new van, Cassie has expanded her Comfy Cat business to include mobile cat grooming. Next stop: a cat expo at a hotel just outside her hometown of Chadwick, NJ, where Cassie will give a grooming demo using shelter cats to encourage adoption. Her veterinarian boyfriend Mark will offer a program on cat care and health. The highlight of the expo will be a major cat show featuring pop sensation Jaki Natal. Almost as famous is her pet Gordie, a Scottish fold, who's become a hit on social media. But when Gordie goes missing and his sitter is found murdered, Jaki is having kittens.

Mrs. Tillman is mysteriously asphyxiated in the night, and suspicion falls on her husband - and their cats. Meanwhile, the Fosters host a banquet for the local historical society, and when one of their guests falls gravely ill, Gillian is convinced someone is out to get her. After a second death occurs, it’s clear the killer isn’t pussyfooting around. Now it’s up to Cassie to get these houses in order before disaster pounces again.
