Alias: The Eclipse

Two pulp adventure stories set in 1940s Chicago: In the first story, the city is under the control of a ruthless crime boss who seeks to unite all illegal activities under his control. Unexpected competition arrives in the person of a masked killer, The Inferno, who uses flame as a weapon. Opposing them both is The Eclipse, a masked vigilante. In the follow-up story, a new crime lord has stepped in to take the place of the fallen gang leader. He sets his sights on obtaining a powerful new weapon that will guarantee him a stranglehold on the city.

It's 1930s Chicago. Inferno, a mysterious figure using flame as a lethal weapon, seeks to depose "Bull" Logan as crime boss of Chicago. A series of bizarre attacks rapidly thins out the ranks of the gang leader's trusted lieutenants. In an attempt to distract the police, Logan begins his own war of terror while he begins searching for the mysterious fiend.

The Eclipse has no time to rest on his laurels, following the destruction of The Inferno and 'Bull' Logan. A new crime boss promptly moves in to try to seize control of Chicago, with the aid of the surviving members of Logan's gang. As if that wasn't enough, a series of hanging deaths occur across the city, all apparently connected in some way with a jewel robbery from several years prior.
