Backwoods Summoner

After seeking to innovate a new spell against the rules of my guild, I was given a choice: remain indebted to the guild for years, resigned to complete whatever missions they sent me on, or gain my freedom—and have my class reset all the way back to Level One. This guy chose freedom. Fortunately, thanks to the generosity of an old friend, I've come into possession of a patch of land in the free town of Moonshaw.

Life as a Summoner in the town of Moonshaw is everything I wanted it to be. Sure, I might have had my class reset, but now that I've completed the gauntlet and pushed back up to Level 20, things are going great. I've got a great house, a huge patch of woodland at my disposal, a backyard workshop, and a pair of beautiful women to share my time with. Plus, now that I've got access to my portable summoning seal, I can finally focus on experimental summons just as much as conventional leveling.

Moonshaw was supposed to be a clean break—a relaxing life with the backwoods right on my doorstep, where all I had to worry about was lively herbs and the occasional stray monster. But when a magical anomaly tears through the town archive, it doesn't just leave a mess. It digs up a skeleton and a contract written in a lost language. It turns out that Moonshaw is in the firing line of an ancient entity that's about to come roaring back into this world.
