Shame on You

Not everyone knows about the Club, which is by design. The main floor entertains the elite. There are dim lights and stolen touches, and the liquor flows to ensure the guests get exactly what they want. But it’s what lies beneath these floors, down the spiral staircase, that intrigues me the most. There’s a man who stays in the corner of the darkest rooms. In this world of sinful tastes, he is the ruler, the devil, the boss. Declan Cross. I knew him once when times were different, and the years have changed everything.

Declan Cross is powerful, brooding, and his dark eyes speak of damage that my soul begs to unravel. I’ve always been drawn to men who are rough around the edges, the bad guys so to speak, but he’s a kind of brutal that scares me. So I promised myself I’d stay away. I swore up and down that I would never give in to the fantasies that haunt me at night.

I wish I’d known before it got to this point so I could have stopped it. I'd have chosen her above all else... if only I could go back. Even if it meant never getting to kiss her, to love her, to be consumed by the woman she is and the love she gave me. The only thing I know as truth now is that it’s all my fault and it’s all too late.
