The Misadventures of Max Bowman

First Lieutenant Robert Davidson. The son of an American military legend and a war hero who died in combat during the Afghanistan conflict. Or did he? The answer could bring down a secret military empire - as well as a guy named Max Bowman.

When Max takes on the mission to find the long-lost creator of cult superhero Blue Fire, he ends up getting dosed with a chemical that upends his sanity just when he needs it the most. Now he's got to contend with zombies on the Upper East Side, a cult run by a clueless pawn, a hipster rapist who knows her way around a sword, a secret CIA spook program left over from the Cold War, and powerful old enemies who are out to destroy him - all while trying to keep his mind from crashing and burning for good.

Max Bowman has female problems. Specifically, three beautiful, rich daughters of three powerful and influential men - all of them with their own secret agendas. Unfortunately, Max doesn't know which one to trust or which way to turn, because a vicious killer is hot on his heels. And the most perplexing thing about this psychopath is that he isn't after Max himself - but everyone he knows and loves.

Max Bowman has been gone for a long time. So long that he’s lost his home, his love, his money and most of his memories. Now, the Russian Rat Pack is hunting him down. A dog puppet with Lego blocks for teeth is barking out strange warnings. His weird brother is hiding something in the basement. And the woman Max left behind is involved with a crooked lobbyist whose menace is almost as big as his stomach, as well as the stunning secret he’s got under wraps. Oh yeah. And Donald Trump is also now president.

Broke and not getting any younger, Max Bowman has officially hit bottom. Dogged by trolls and an angry ex, he flees to California, where he ends up running a detective agency with a dead man's name on it. That's when a new client who's not quite right in the head shows up because he thinks the government is breaking into his apartment to move food around in his refrigerator. It's also when zombie assassins start showing up wherever Max goes, killing everyone on site except him. But wait, there's more!
