My name is Amanda Fox, though most people just call me Mandy. I'm an author, entrepreneur, and post menopausal non-conformist. Some say rebel. Some say freak. I'll answer to any of the above. I write literary erotica, romance, fiction, satire, and not-so-serious commentary. Not always for the same projects, obviously. I'm inspired by movies, books, fashion, people, and the general weirdness of life. My absolute favourite author across any genre ever is William Steig. He wrote Shrek, among many other brilliant things. That should tell you a lot, about him and me. I've written one children's book with my brother, and hope to do more. I also taught fitness for over twenty years, and currently own a health and fitness facility with my husband who's a surgeon. I went to four universities, have two and a bit degrees, and zero dollars of my own. My husband makes all the money. Currently anyway. I know your'e thinking cry me a river, lady. Read my books, please. I'm trying to buy a farm with a donkey like everybody else. That's not a joke. I've been married for over thirty-five years. I have three grown children, two cats, and two grand dogs. I used to own a gerbil, but not anymore. When I'm not writing, I'm hanging out with my family, looking at real estate, researching sustainable architecture, riding my bike, pole and Latin dancing, working out, listening to music, and watching movies. My books: Three Day Genius—A humour essay collection narrated by a character I created named Greg Halpern, a fifty-nine year old logistics manager from Columbus, Ohio, who has strong opinions about parking, Costco, the state of the world, and life in general. Sex World—A speculative dystopian romance novel about a man finding his way to love in a world designed to eliminate it. Little Buggers—A satirical but also unapologetically realistic account of my life as a wife and mother. Fantasies of a Married Woman Volumes 1 and 2—A collection of erotic short stories based on my experiences as a wife. The Fur Files: Relationship Advice for the Love Challenged—A satirical advice column. Fern De Villiers is my alter ego. I have a few of those. My short fiction has also appeared in Violet Blue's Sweet Love, Maxim Jakubowski's The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 9, and Cole Riley's Too Much Boogie: Erotic Remixes of the Dirty Blues.
