Ava Mariya Gencheva is an educator, author, mentor, and founder of VoicED Academy. For more than two decades, she has worked with students, families, and educators, guiding them through some of life's most important transitions. Her work is rooted in a simple belief: people are often capable of far more than they realize. A writer at heart, Ava believes that writing is one of the most powerful tools for self-discovery and transformation. Through her books, teaching, and speaking, she inspires people to find their voice, tell their stories, and create meaningful lives guided by purpose rather than limitation. Whether teaching writing, coaching students, leading schools, or authoring books, Ava's greatest passion is helping others uncover strengths, talents, and possibilities that may have been hidden beneath uncertainty or self-doubt. She has a unique ability to recognize potential before others can see it themselves and to help individuals develop the confidence and skills to bring that potential to life. As a former school director and UCLA Application Reader, Ava has helped students gain admission to some of the world's most selective universities. Yet her work extends far beyond college admissions. She is equally passionate about communication, storytelling, personal growth, leadership, and the lifelong pursuit of learning. Her work has been published in Publishers Weekly and Library Journal.
