He left college to work on the remote Pacific outpost of Wake Island before building a successful career in architecture, construction management, entrepreneurship, and real estate. After building and selling a successful company, he chose a different definition of success—one that couldn't be measured on a balance sheet. He devoted his life to exploring, writing, and documenting the places most people drive past without ever knowing their stories. Travel has taken Cory across North and South America by bicycle, motorcycle, train, car, and on foot. Along the way he has crossed mountain ranges, deserts, jungles, river valleys, and thousands of miles of backroads, discovering that history isn't confined to museums—it lives in abandoned buildings, forgotten cemeteries, roadside diners, quiet main streets, and conversations with strangers.
