He was SVP of Programs for UP Global (the merger of Startup Weekend and Startup America) scaling both the team and programs globally. In his last full year, the company did over 1,200 events worldwide with 72,000 attendees in 120 countries. UP was sold to Techstars in 2015. As a mentor for Techstars, Seattle Director of Founder Institute, and Community Builder, Dave has worked with 1,000's of Founders in his career. He's an avid cyclist, a dad or four kids, (plus a Doodle), and married to Kathryn for over 30 years.
