David Fritz Goeppinger is a photographer and writer. On November 13, 2015, he was held hostage alongside ten other people by two of the three terrorists who attacked the Bataclan. This senseless and brutal confinement drove him to reclaim his story through writing, notably with the publication of his first book, Un jour dans notre vie (Pygmalion). In the aftermath of the attacks, he joined two victims’ associations and regularly takes part in conferences. Ten years after this tragedy that also shaped him, he bears witness once again, determined to pass on his story to future generations.
