Edmund T. Shearin has lived a life shaped by hard work and determination. He grew up in poverty and learned early what it meant to keep going, no matter the circumstances. He served proudly in the U.S. Army and earned the rank of Sergeant before returning to civilian life. Most of his years were spent in construction. Honest, hands-on work that demanded strength and grit. Later in life, he faced health challenges from years of smoking. At sixty-five, he decided to write, turning a lifetime of lessons and experiences into a story that reflects every bit of that hard-won journey.
