I've been a misfit all my life. I have enough dyslexia that left and right occasionally don't exist, and I've spent much of my life navigating ADD, social anxiety, and the challenges that come with feeling different. Those experiences have shaped not only who I am, but the stories I tell. I grew up in Pennsylvania and now live outside Boston, Massachusetts. Along the way, I studied everything from English composition and art to electronics, computer science, and psychology, eventually earning degrees in psychology and counseling. My fascination with how people think, feel, and grow continues to influence every book I write. I don't write for a specific age group. I write the kinds of stories I love to read: atmospheric adventures filled with humor, mystery, friendship, and a touch of magic. My readers range from fourth graders to adults, and I enjoy creating stories that can be appreciated on different levels depending on where you are in life. Whether it's a reluctant wizard, an orphan haunted by forgotten memories, or a traveler caught between two worlds, my stories often explore themes of belonging, courage, kindness, and discovering who you are when the world expects you to be someone else. When I'm not writing, I'm usually reading, cooking, doing yoga, meditating, or dreaming up my next adventure.
