Hollie McEvoy is a wife, mother, and daughter who believes in doing the hard things—especially the ones most people avoid. Raised in the insurance world in Northwest Arkansas, she learned early that planning ahead can make a world of difference. But it wasn’t until she experienced sudden loss that she discovered how much isn’t covered by policies or plans. That experience became the foundation for Unbury the Burden, a book that blends personal storytelling with practical guidance to help families prepare for the inevitable and leave a legacy of clarity, not confusion. Hollie later founded Unbury the Burden, Inc., a nonprofit helping individuals and families organize, plan, and communicate before crisis hits. Known for her straightforward yet compassionate approach, she writes and speaks from a place of realism and heart—reminding others that love isn’t just what we feel; it’s what we leave behind. She lives in Columbia, Missouri, with her husband, Morgan, and their son, Cole.
