Jayne Zanglein is passionate about publicizing the accomplishments of women ignored by history and chronicling the challenges women face today. Like the founding members of the Society of Woman Geographers, she believes that marginalized groups become visible through empathic reporting, law, and democracy. She is an avid researcher and has won more than twenty awards for her scholarship. For The Girl Explorers, she conducted extensive archival research and visited a dozen countries. A lawyer by profession,The Girl Explorers is her first non-law book. Previous books include ERISA Litigation, a law treatise she has updated annually since 2005.
