Joan Donaldson loves her women friends, called the Quilters, who inspired her latest novel. Ae Fond Kiss that takes place in the town of Rugby, Tennessee, The story revolves around Lizzie and William's growing affections while also showing how women friends support each other through their struggles and provide for their families after a natural disaster. When not writing, Joan loves to garden, sew quilts, and read a book with a cat on her lap. Every day, she walks around her farm and writes notes about the birds and weather in her journal.
