John Haydock is a leadership coach, executive advisor, and author who helps senior leaders increase impact without overextension. Fly fishing taught him to slow down and notice what matters—a thread running through his work. Over thirty years, John built brands at companies like Unilever, Cadbury Schweppes, Burt's Bees, and Plow & Hearth. He led businesses from startups to portfolios exceeding a billion dollars in revenue. He served as President, COO, board member, and angel investor. John studied psychology and earned an MBA, working at the intersection of human behavior and business reality. He draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to translate ideas into practical tools for high-stakes environments. John currently serves as coach, advisor, and fractional leader to founders, CEOs, and leadership teams. He lives in Charlottesville, Virginia. When he isn't coaching, he's on a river with a fly rod—working out the questions of happiness, fulfillment, and sustainable effort.
