Dr. Jamison is an award-winning licensed psychologist, author, and professor at the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School. She specializes in addiction psychology, with concentrations on adolescent, vocational, and social justice issues in recovery. She received her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and completed her pre-doctoral internship at Duke University. She has a strong counselor educator and social justice identity, with research and academic interests in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging issues for individuals from marginalized backgrounds in substance use assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. For over a decade, she has served in various capacities at the Graduate School, including training director, faculty coordinator, and Master’s Applied Project director. She has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences, including the American Psychological Association, the National Conference on Addiction Disorders, and the American Counseling Association’s Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
